You know what it takes to become proficient in selling your product. No doubt there is no substitute for months and years of actually working on projects. But short of that, there are certain key points. We will make your rep(s) available for training at our location, at your factory, or even some 3rd party location (e.g. trade shows.) In fact, working in your booth at a trade show is a great way to both learn and foster the kind of rapport that supports project work.
One key point to keep in mind - if training must be conducted (or if you expect FATs will be held) at your facility in the US we will be restricted to hiring reps who currently hold US Visas. This will SUBSTANTIALLY limit the field of candidates from whom we can draw.
Part of our regular training routine though is cultural immersion. A minimum of two days spent wandering Costco, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Target, Lowe's and grocery chains are required to imbue an understanding of retail and the demands it makes of packaging to sell products and to package them. For you and your domestic reps that is second nature, but for folks who are accustomed to sending someone to buy a toothbrush for them, or having the vegetable stand deliver, it isn't. There is very little packaging that doesn't touch retail at least tangentially, and we believe that the training program must include time in western retail stores.
